Welcome to Motorola Repair. Our goal is to get a working phone in your hands as quickly as possible.
Before you send in your phone for repair, please take a moment to read the information below - it may save you time, trouble and money.
First, is your phone in warranty?
Motorola phones come with a one-year warranty, which begins when you purchase your new Motorola phone. Motorola repairs in-warranty phones free of charge. In some cases, Motorola can repair out-of-warranty
(OOW)
phones as well. The
OOW
fee is $75 and in many cases, it’s well worth it - Motorola phones are built to last.

to check its manufacture date. If your phone was made more than a year ago, but you purchased it new in the past year, you can confirm your warranty status by providing proof of purchase.
The key exceptions are phones that get wet, have broken screens, or have been in some kind of obvious accident. These types of damage void the warranty. These phones will not be repaired, even for a fee. They will be returned un-repaired, and Motorola will not pay return postage.
Second, can your phone be repaired, and should we do it?
Phones sent to Motorola for repair fall into these main buckets:
A. Phones that we can’t fix and are returned un-repaired to the owner.
Most of these are water or moisture damaged or physically abused. In these cases, the warranty is void and the phone cannot be fixed.

to see if your phone is un-repairable - this may save you the time and trouble of sending in a phone that may be returned un-repaired.
B. Phones the owner might have been able to fix without sending it in.
In most cases, these are software issues that require certain settings or an available software update.

C. Phones you can’t fix but we can!
If your phone falls into this category, you have two choices.

Or, click

to log in to our repair site. It’s the simple, yet effective way to submit your phone for repair. Register on the site, enter your information, print out a packing label and send your phone in for repair. Repairs are normally processed within 10-14 days of receipt. Turn-around time varies based on the repair type.
Finally, is a new phone a better choice than repair?
In the fast-changing mobile industry, frequent advances are common. Better quality, new features and your changing needs may make a new phone the best decision. Consider the age of your phone and the cost to repair. If your phone is out of warranty, weigh the repair cost, the value of your phone if you recycle it, and the cost of being without your phone during the repair cycle. An upgrade might be in order.
