  Play Downloaded Music and Video1

 1. Use the start Menu to launch Windows Media® Player.
 2. Press Menu, then select Update Library.
 3. Select My Music or My Videos.
 4. Scroll to and select the song or video you want to play.
          Note: You only need to update your library after downloading new music or videos to your phone.

  Adjusting Volume

 Your MOTO Q™ 9c has an overall master volume that controls earpiece, headset and speaker volume and a call volume. To adjust        your volume:

 Step One - Change Call Volume:
 1.Answer or initiate a call.
 2.Rotate the thumb wheel to adjust call volume.
 3.Press Done or hold the thumb wheel to set the new volume and return to the standard call in-progress screen.
 Step Two - Change Multimedia Volume:
 1.Go to Multimedia Home Screen.
 2.Scroll to the volume icon.
 3.Adjust the level using the thumb wheel.
 4.Press the center select key when finished.
 Note: System volume overrides media player volume. If system volume is at 0%, adjusting media player volume doesn’t affect the       volume.

  Email Tips and Tricks

 1. Place a call from your email screen
You can respond to an email quickly by placing a phone call to an existing Contact. Simply highlight and select the name or address
and the contact will appear on the screen, including phone number(s).the name or address and the contact will appear on the screen,
including phone number(s).
 2. Toggle between email accounts
If you have two email accounts (personal and business) and frequently get text messages, you can easily toggle between the various
accounts without going to the Home screen each time. When you are viewing any account, use the Left or Right arrow on the Nav Key
to navigate your accounts.
 3. Auto-sync one email account
If you have two email accounts assigned to your device, only select one to automatically sync. Set your Exchange server Active Sync
(business email ) peak times so they don’t conflict with your peak personal email usage times. This will also improve your overall
battery life performance. See Power Saving Tips and Tricks for instructions on how to Set your synchronization schedule.
 4. Sync items in your Sent Folder
In order to sync Sent items (personal or business email) select Folders, then Menu > Manage Folders > choose the Sent folder and
select Sync (Right softkey).
 5. Send an email from a calendar notice
You can send an email from a calendar notice when any email or contact information is provided in the meeting notice.
 1.Open up your Outlook Calendar.
 2.Scroll down and open the appropriate appointment.
 3.Scroll down to Attendees using the navigation key or the thumb wheel.
 4.Press the action button in the middle of the navigation key.
 5.Scroll to the desired recipient.
 6.Press the action button in the middle of the navigation key.
 7.Select Send e-mail.
 8.Select the desired email account from which you wish to send the email.
 9.Type out your email and press send.

  Calling Tips and Tricks

 1. Call Forwarding
To enable: Press *72 followed by the ten digit number you wish to forward to, then SEND. (Example: *72 8885551234 SEND)
To disable: Press *73 SEND
 2. Conference Call
Place your current call on hold by pressing "SEND" (the green key). Dial the second number and press "SEND" again. When your
second call connects, press "SEND" to connect both calls.

  Power Saving Tips and Tricks

 1. Set your synchronization schedule
You can set your MOTO Q™ 9c to automatically synchronize with your PC at time intervals that you specify, so that your MOTO Q™ 9c
does not synch as regularly during off-peak times as during peak usage times.
 1.Press Start.
 2.Select ActiveSync.
 3.Press Menu.
 4.Scroll down and select Schedule.
 5.Scroll down to Peak Times.
 6.Scroll right to choose the right option for your needs.
 7.Press Done.
 2. Use your screen dimmer
Set your screen to automatically dim after your MOTO Q™ 9c is idle for a certain period.
 1.Press Start.
 2.Scroll to and select Settings.
 3.Scroll to and select More.
 4.Scroll to and select Power Management.
 5.Scroll to Backlight Time Out on Battery.
 6.Scroll left to decrease the time delay from 10 seconds to 5 seconds.
 7.Press Done.
 3.Disable Bluetooth®connectivity when not in use8
When you´re not using your Bluetooth® headset and accessories, you can easily turn this function off.
 1.Press Start.
 2.Scroll to and select Bluetooth.
 3.Select Bluetooth Manager.
 4.Scroll to and select Settings.
 5.Scroll left to deactivate Bluetooth on your device.
 6.Press Done.
 4. Control the number of applications running
You can minimize the number of applications that run at one time.
 1.Press Start.
 2.Scroll to and select System Tools.
 3.Scroll to Task Manager.
 4.Scroll to the application you’d like to end.
 5.Press Menu.
 6.Select Kill for that single application or Kill All to end all running applications.

  Other Useful Tips and Tricks

 1. Bookmark mobile-friendly websites
Many websites support ‘Mobile friendly editions’ (e.g. www.CNN.com/togo/) or ‘lo-fi’ versions. Choosing to bookmark these sites will
provide a more efficient mobile web experience.
 1.From the web browser, press Menu > Address Bar.
 2.Type in the URL and press OK.
 3.Once the page loads, press Add to Favorites.
 4.Change Name (if desired)
 5.Press Add .
 2. Save pictures and videos to storage card by default
Set the storage card as the default location to save pictures and videos.
 1.Be sure a storage card is correctly inserted.
 2.Press Start.
 3.Scroll to Pictures & Videos.
 4.In Thumbnail view, press Menu > Options > Camera.
 5.If you have a storage card inserted, you will have the option “Save files to: Storage Card”.
 3. Customize the time limit for your videos
Change the time limit for videos.
 1.Press Start.
 2.Scroll to Pictures & Videos.
 3.In Thumbnail view, press Menu > Options > Video.
 4.Set video length to 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or no limit.
 4. Synchronize Notes on your MOTO Q™ 9c
Notes created in Microsoft® Outlook are not directly supported in Microsoft® Windows Mobile 6,
and cannot be synchronized directly to the Q™ 9c. Notes may be used with third party applications.
 5. Navigate Contacts by Category
Make it easier to navigate large Contact lists by using the Category field to differentiate ‘Business’
and ‘Personal’ contacts, for example. When searching Contacts, choose Menu > Filter.
