Voice
Recognition (VR)*
"Please say a command."
With one-button activation, you're in control.
Place a call by speaking a name or a string of
digits. Voice recognition technology converts
human speech into text. This can be either speaker-dependent,
typically requiring a single user to "train" the
product to recognise one voice, or speaker-independent,
wherein the product can recognise any user.
Examples of speaker-independent voice commands
on selected products include:
- Name dial
- Digit dial
- Redial
- Voicemail
- Shortcut to Received calls
- Shortcut to Camera
Voice Recognition is convenient. It complements
compatible Bluetooth-enabled wireless headsets
and car kits. And it can be used with or without
speakerphone.
It's as easy as 1-2-3 SPEAK. So go ahead, speak
it into existence.
How to use Name Dial:
Place a call by speaking a name.
- Press and release the Voice key on the right
side of the phone. Your phone says and displays
"Say a command."
- Say "NAME DIAL".
- When prompted, say the name of the person
stored in the phonebook. If there are multiple
numbers stored for that name, the phone will
ask " Which number?" If the phone recognised
the name, it dials that number. If the phone
asks to repeat a name, say it again. If the
name is not valid or is not recognised, the
phone does not place the call.
How to use Digit Dial:
Place a call by speaking a phone number.
- Press and release the Voice key on the right
side of the phone. Your phone says and displays
"Say a command".
- Say "DIGIT DIAL".
- When prompted, say the phone number you wish
to call. If the phone recognised the number,
it dials the number. If the phone asks to repeat
a number, say it again. If the number is not
recognised, the phone does not place the call.
