Bluetooth® Set-Up and Support
Easy-to-follow instructions for setting up Bluetooth®.8
Turning Bluetooth® On/Off/Discoverable8
- Launch Bluetooth® from the Start menu
- Select Bluetooth® Manager
- Select Settings
- Set the Status: field to ON or OFF
- In addition, to set Bluetooth® to Discoverable mode, check the Allow other Bluetooth® devices to see this phone box.
Pairing8
- Ensure Bluetooth® is ON.
- Press the Menu key.
- Select Paired Devices.
- Press the Add key.
- The Motorola Q will search for and list devices in range.
- Select a device to pair with.
- Enter 0000 in the Passkey field using the keypad. To enable the Number pad, press the Alt key twice.
- Press the Done key.
- Follow the prompts on the second device to complete the pairing.
- The devices are now paired.
Hands-free8
- From the Bluetooth® Manager, select Hands-free.
- Press the Add key.
- Follow the on-screen instructions, then press the Search key.
- The Motorola Q will search for and list any Hands-free devices in range. Select the device to pair with and press the Select key.
- Enter the Hands-free device’s passkey, then press the Accept key.
- The Hands-free device is now connected.
PC Remote8
- From the Bluetooth® application, select BT PC Remote.
- Press the Add key.
- The Motorola Q will prepare itself to be paired with from a PC.
- Initiate a pairing from the PC.
- Exchange passkeys with the PC.
- Press the Accept key.
- The Motorola Q keypad can now be used to control navigation of the PC desktop.
- Press the Menu key for more options.
- The Motorola Q keypad can also control Windows Media Player, and PowerPoint.
